Hello, and thanks for dropping by. I built this site as a self-discipline effort to make myself write more regularly, and to join the online community. Hopefully, we'll both benefit.

THE CREATIVE CONSUMER by Archie Washington

I bought a huge box of Grape Nuts cereal the other day, and I remembered to confirm a nagging suspicion that I had about their true nature. Reading the ingredients, it was clear to me that they're overbaked bread crumbs. Mix two kinds of flour with salt and yeast, and put in oven until hard. Remove from oven and crumble into rubble. Sell for upwards of $4.00. Now if my commentary seems a bit overdone itself, be warned that this is only the first of many attempts to inform and amuse you, the capitalist consumer. Stay attuned!

THE STAGE by Archie Washington

The Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop, of which I am a part, is having two performances of its final assignment for the beginner's session. On Monday, June 14, and Tuesday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m., 335 N. Brand Blvd. in Glendale, California will present 5 one-act shows, each 12 minutes long. Based on the theme of union and reunion, all must use the lyric "crumpled bag", the lne "it's wide open", and the same first 5 notes in a melody. I wrote the book for OUT OF HAND, which tells the story of five fingers in a panic after they lose contact with the brain.
